Thanks for good information. I can bring Hdcp certificate but alone. I have joined with 3 some last March at willingdon on weekdays. Do you think I can join with others at BPGC/Willingdon on the weekends. I shall come to Mumbai on 5ht Dec.

You could play golf in the BPGC/Willingdon Sports club, if you have a golf handicap certificate or letter of introduction from your golf club, on payment of the green fees but please do check up on phone in advance for tee times as they have restrictions of times and minimum three in a group are allowed to play.Plus sometime somedays they do not allow players with handicap above +16 or +18. They have a golf driving range too.

Hi, could you make me know whether a visitor can play golf at BPGC or Willingdon Sports Club on Sunday?
BPGC were closed when I visited there this March.
I come to Mumbai on November again and want to play golf with anyone or alone.

Course is good, but it is beeing grosly mismanaged by the TNGF committee. Has a lot of politics in the system.

Found only your posts as sources for restarting my love for golf. Used to play a par-bogey round back in the US during my graduate days. Not found time since returning to Mumbai with all the work and traffic. Hope to devote time on weekends for golf. Would like suggestions on how to go about it. (Joining,e tc.)

If you are in Mumbai it is difficult.
You have to go to one of the clubs presently open i.e.Willingdon Sports Club opposite the Mahalaxmi Race Course or the US Club in Colaba.
BPGC is closed at present.
Enquire from them whether you can learn the game with the help of their coach on payment of the fees.
Surprisingly there is no independent driving range and coaching facility in Mumbai where beginners could go and learn without trying in vain to become members of the two-three golf clubs.

Have been enjoying your entries on different golf courses, many of them not so well known.

Would be a wonderful input if you could post some details of the courses that you get to play on: Contact Tel no, and landmarks to reaching the course ( e.g. Air Force Course at Bangalore which is not well known) Green Fee to be paid ( by pvt individuals on visits etc). Practical stuff. etc. Would be a great help to the golfing community!

How are they now? I mean 'them' Are they still sore? Never knew it was so cheap in delhi. I mean 40-45 bucks!! even amsterdam is not so cheap. Or maybe you were looking for the 'other' delhi golf club. But still banging your own balls!! or someone banged them for you.. u know ball on ball action.. 4 balls colliding with each other between your legs. And of course your corns... on both hands!!! I mean wow!! It cant possibly be as bad as i am imagining.. is it?

Hi - Dubai sounds like it has very beautiful courses. However, it would take alot for me to change from my favourite Gloucester Golf Hotel in the UK. It is so beautiful there, if only the weather was as nice!.
